The scheme was previously open from 4 January 2021 to 30 June 2021. Some of the applications were not assessed at the time because the budget had been oversubscribed. RVO will still assess these applications.
As a municipality, you apply for this one-off grant per project, with 1 project per application. A project concerns 1 or more school buildings at the same location. There is no limit to the number of applications you may submit. You will receive a maximum of 30% of the total costs, and a maximum of €1 million per application in total. You will receive this amount as an advance payment.
Who is the scheme for?
Municipalities apply for this scheme to improve the indoor climate of existing primary and secondary school buildings. The school building must be used wholly or partly by a school funded by the government. The scheme lists a number of exceptions that are not eligible, such as vertical school communities and agricultural training centres.
SUVIS may only be used for the part of the building where the school is located. It may therefore not be used for the sports hall or childcare facility elsewhere in the building. Is part of the building a new construction? In that case, you cannot use the grant for that new part either.
