Step 2 Get the neighbourhood involved

Once you have found the location for Outdoor Play Day, it's time to get the neighbourhood involved in Outdoor Play Day 2023. So… tell people about it at school, at the sports club or to all your neighbours to get as many people as possible excited. What activity are you going to organise?

What is Outdoor Play Day?

Outdoor Play Day is an initiative of Jantje Beton and Nickelodeon. It is the largest outdoor play campaign in the Netherlands. On this day, we turn the whole of the Netherlands into one big playground!

How can you make sure you can have fun playing on Outdoor Play Day?

By not getting any homework for Wednesday 14 June, of course! That's why Jantje Beton and Nickelodeon have created a 'don't give us homework on Wednesday 14 June' letter. You can fill it in and hand it in to your teacher to ask them not to give you any homework for Wednesday 14 June. That way, you can play and do sports all afternoon with your friends!
