The PO-Raad has a landing page, ‘Updates for schools and school boards about the coronavirus (COVID-19)’, which is updated regularly. Pictograms developed by Studio van Laar specifically for primary education can also be found there. The pictograms cover the most important hygiene guidelines for preventing the coronavirus:

  • sneeze and cough into your elbow,
  • blow your nose into a paper tissue
  • wash your hands frequently with soap

The Dutch government also has a landing page, ‘Frequently asked questions about the coronavirus for education’. On this page, you will find answers to questions such as:

  • Do schools and universities have to close their doors?
  • My family has just returned from a (winter sports) holiday. Can my children go to school?
  • I work as a teacher. What can I do to prevent infection among children and myself?
  • Am I allowed to keep my child home from school?
  • Do I, as an educational institution, have to take precautionary measures? If so, which ones?
  • How can I tell whether my child / the child in my class is infected?
  • Can school trips or exchange projects scheduled for the coming months go ahead?
  • Where can I, as a school or university, find up-to-date information?
  • Do students studying or doing an internship abroad have to return to the Netherlands?
