Other findings from the study include:
- Awareness of The Daily Mile is increasing. Four out of five (81%) primary school leaders have heard of or read about The Daily Mile physical activity initiative. Awareness among school leaders has increased compared with 2016 (63%) and 2017 (71%).
- 10 percent of school leaders indicate that their school participates in The Daily Mile;
- Half of the participating schools carry out The Daily Mile at least three times a week, while the other half do so once or twice a week.
- 7 percent of school leaders indicate that their school used to run The Daily Mile but has since stopped. The main reasons for stopping are a lack of support (43%) and time (43%).
