Registration form

Schools/teachers, school garden supporters and partners can use a registration form until 15 April to let us know that they are organising a fun school garden-related activity or a simple growing activity that schools with and without a school garden can take part in. They can also indicate whether they would like to be included on a map showing all the schools in the Netherlands that already practise school gardening. Those who register will receive five emails in the run-up to School Garden Month containing information and inspiration about School Garden Month. After registering, they will receive an explanation in a free lesson plan about ‘Sowing a tomato with a slice of tomato’, an accompanying letter to involve parents, a link to request the school garden film ‘A Year Round with Our Hands in the Soil’, and promotional materials to show what they are doing.

The School Garden Alliance

The School Garden Alliance is committed to giving every child access to a school garden during their primary school years. Sowing, caring for and harvesting vegetables, fruit and flowers themselves contributes to greater knowledge of and engagement with food and nature. A school garden is a place where all children can flourish. The Alliance is an initiative of Adviesbureau Beleef & weet, Vereniging GDO, IVN Natuureducatie, Rob Baan (Koppert Cress) and Simon Groot (East-West Seed).
