In addition, Rutgers calls on the government to:

  • Make sex education compulsory in the upper years of secondary education.
  • Free up funding for the implementation of the National Action Plan to Prevent Sexual Violence.
  • Teach professionals the right competencies to address violence and intimidation in the workplace.

These are some of the points included in the shadow report by Rutgers. The shadow report is a response to the Voluntary National Review on the Sustainable Development Goals, which the Kingdom of the Netherlands presented on 14 July during the High-level Political Forum in New York. The shadow report was written by Rutgers and is supported by WO=MEN and CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality.
