The daily videos cover a variety of developmental areas and are designed for children aged 3 to 12. For example, the first video in the series offers a variety of jumping exercises that are very good for coordination. The combination of content, differentiation, engagement and accessibility makes RiskCare Preventie’s ‘Home Physical Education’ series unique and successful.
The PE specialist gets your school moving
The ‘Home Physical Education’ series was developed along the same lines as those followed by RiskCare Preventie when deploying its PE specialists. Matthes: “Quality and variety are our top priorities. Every year, we take a very critical look at what we do and how we can add value for the schools we work with. Fun alone is not enough. We want to inspire school teams with new teaching methods that reduce workload and deliver better results. For the children, it is paramount that during our lessons they can develop at a pace and level that suits them, experience success and, through that experience, gain confidence in their own abilities.”
Here are some examples of how RiskCare Preventie’s PE specialists, in addition to providing PE lessons, help and inspire schools:
- Implementing movement-based learning and outdoor learning;
- Integrating fine motor skills into physical education for younger children;
- Making effective use of energisers;
- Organising and promoting quality physical activity during the long break;
- Mapping motor development and tailoring education accordingly.
