A pre-vocational secondary education edition was chosen because these students often lag behind other young people in secondary education when it comes to sports and physical activity. That is why we are looking for exemplary schools that make a difference specifically for this target group. And, of course, we will once again be looking for the ‘Sportiest Special Secondary School in the Netherlands’!

You can register for the ‘Sportiest Secondary School in the Netherlands’ and ‘Sportiest Special Secondary School in the Netherlands’ elections until 1 December 2022.

Why this election?

Every year, KVLO, together with NOC*NSF and Kenniscentrum Sport en Bewegen, organises the ‘Sportiest School in the Netherlands’ election. In one year, we look for the sportiest primary school and sportiest special (primary) education school, and in the other year we organise the elections for secondary education and special secondary education. The aim of this election is to recognise sport-active schools and departments that offer an exceptionally good or innovative range of physical activity and sports programmes for their school. In addition, we are happy to give these schools a platform to inspire other schools.
