The EU-Schoolfruit Programme is intended for primary schools, special primary education and secondary special education.

3,000 participating schools

Approximately 3,000 schools can participate. If the number of registrations exceeds the maximum capacity, a draw will take place. Schools that were not selected in the draw last year are guaranteed participation if they register.

EU-Schoolfruit 2020–2021 delivery weeks

The programme runs from the week of 9 November (week 46) through the week of 12 April (week 15). During this period, the fruit will be delivered on Monday or Tuesday.

Vegetables and fruit during the morning break. From 20 to 40 weeks.

The EU-Schoolfruit and Vegetable Programme lasts 20 weeks. The ultimate goal is for eating vegetables and fruit during the morning break at school to become a habit.

Does your school already have one or more designated vegetable and fruit days? Preferably choose all five school days. This provides clarity for children, parents and teachers.

Education

One of the conditions for participating in the EU-Schoolfruit Programme is that at least the EU-Schoolfruit introductory lesson and a short lesson activity are provided in every class. These teaching materials can be found at www.voedseleducatie.nl
