Rasmus (10, pictured) and Vivienne (11), both from Houten, are the winners in categories A (ages 6–10) and B (ages 11–14), respectively, of the Dutch Sidewalk Curb Championship. It was held on Sunday, 19 September, at the Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem.
The Dutch championship is organized by Jantje Beton. This year, it was held in collaboration with the Dutch Handball Association (NHV). Sidewalk curb is also a fun and accessible form of handball. This year, 15,000 children in 108 locations took part in local sidewalk curb activities. The event was held for the fifth time. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.
