About Charge Your Brainzzz

The Charge Your Brainzzz approach was developed, among others, by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, GGD Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam and GLOS Educatief, with funding from the Brain Foundation and ZonMw. It was developed based on the latest scientific insights and in close collaboration with teenagers, parents, education and healthcare professionals, and policymakers. Together with teenagers, parents and professionals, the main causes of sleep deprivation among teenagers were identified, and various materials were developed with them. In addition, all the materials were extensively presented to teenagers and teachers, who assessed them for their appeal and usability.
