Lessons, but not at school

The cabinet previously decided to close schools and childcare centers until 6 April. This means that most pupils in primary education, secondary education and vocational secondary education will not receive lessons at their school until 6 April. Schools are currently working hard to organize remote education for these children. In doing so, schools are prioritizing the organization of education for final-year pupils in secondary education and vocational secondary education.

Step-by-step plans and teaching methods

Public and private organizations are currently developing various valuable initiatives to help schools shape their remote education. The website www.lesopafstand.nl brings these initiatives together. On the new platform, teachers and school leaders can find step-by-step plans for implementing remote education, enabling them to make a well-considered assessment of which approach is best suited to their situation. This includes how to deal with ICT facilities, both at school and at pupils' homes. Various teaching methods that teachers can use when developing their lessons can also be found there.
