The Nutrition Centre would like to speak with teachers who teach about nutrition about how they incorporate food education into their school.

The discussion will cover, among other things, the following questions:

  • What considerations do you make as a teacher?
  • What challenges do you encounter as a teacher?
  • What can the Nutrition Centre do to make teaching lessons about nutrition even easier?

The Nutrition Centre is also looking for good examples of how to integrate the topic into lessons and projects.

The discussion will last between half an hour and an hour, and the answers will be processed anonymously. As a thank-you, participating teachers will receive a cookie recipe book of their choice from the Nutrition Centre.

Marthe Huigens, project manager at the Nutrition Centre, explains: “We are making this appeal because we ourselves always place a great deal of emphasis on importance and idealism. However, it may be that practical considerations, for example, are more important to teachers and students. We intend to use the results from the autumn onwards as input for the communications campaign aimed at secondary education.”
