Normal motor development is important for a child's physical and psychosocial development. This contributes to an active lifestyle (and vice versa).
The guideline also addresses the consequences of motor development problems, the assessment of motor skills and referral for further diagnosis and treatment. Finally, feedback and aftercare from the JGZ are discussed.
The guideline has been substantively authorised by the professional organisations AJN, the V&VN Youth Health Care Section and NVDA. They also own all JGZ Guidelines. In addition, the guideline has been authorised in terms of preconditions by ActiZ and GGD GHOR Nederland.
