The campaign helps schools create a safer, healthier and more activity-friendly school environment! By participating, primary schools receive a challenge box with fun and impactful assignments and earn points.
13 Challenges
The free Challenge Box that schools receive after registering for the election contains no fewer than 13 challenges. Discover which challenges are available here!
- Neighbourhood Safari for Kids – Children explore the school environment and discover how it can be made safer and more activity-friendly. 10 points can be earned.
- Neighbourhood Safari for Adults – Parents and local residents go out to identify areas for improvement in road safety and opportunities for exercise. 10 points can be earned.
- Letter to the Alderman – Students send a convincing letter to the alderman with ideas for making the neighbourhood healthier and safer, based on the Neighbourhood Safari for Kids. 10 points can be earned.
- Active to School Action Week – For one week, students (and parents) are encouraged to walk or cycle to school. 10 points can be earned.
- Cool Pears Action – A reward for parents who actively travel to school, with a healthy treat as an incentive. 10 points can be earned.
- Cycling Heroes – Students are challenged to come up with creative ideas to make cycling even more fun. 10 points can be earned.
- Walking Bus, Cycling Bus – The Walking Bus and Cycling Bus are organised groups of children who walk or cycle to school together under adult supervision. 10 points can be earned.
- School Street – Work with the municipality in three steps to create a School Street at your school. 10 to 30 points can be earned.
- Tactical Urbanism – A surprising and creative action in the neighbourhood to draw attention to a safe and healthy environment. 20 points can be earned.
- OBB Activity Route – A challenging course near the school that encourages children to exercise more in their everyday environment. 10 points can be earned.
- Custom Bike Parade – With the help of their parents, students decorate their bikes and show their most creative side to make cycling fun and appealing. 10 points can be earned.
- Sports Heroes at School – Sporting role models visit to inspire and motivate students to exercise more. 10 points can be earned.
- Digital School Zones – Discover how children experience the route to school and make the streets safer and more enjoyable. 10 points can be earned.
