Ambition Statement

Schools that have signed the Ambition Statement 2021–2025 show that in the coming years they will work towards a healthy school canteen based on the Guidelines for Food Environments in Schools. Schools determine their own ambition: will they go for a silver, gold or ideal School Canteen Scale? Schools can redefine this ambition every year.

Every year that schools achieve their ambition for a silver, gold or ideal canteen, they receive a School Canteen Scale to display on the collection board. Schools receive this board free of charge after signing the Ambition Statement. This allows them to show everyone their commitment to a healthy school environment! By signing the ambition, schools endorse the shared objective and can show how many schools are taking part. The Netherlands Nutrition Centre does not impose any requirements for signing.
