Krachtvoer in brief
Krachtvoer consists of thirteen modules, each taking between 30 and 45 minutes to complete. Some of the modules are compulsory components. Depending on the situation in a class, other modules can be selected according to preference. Krachtvoer can replace parts of the current curriculum and does not have to be an additional teaching programme.
The minimum version consists of eight modules delivered in successive lessons. Preferably, Krachtvoer should be spread over at least eight weeks so that the progression towards behavioural change can be followed effectively. Krachtvoer can also be used as a project, for example during a project week. Students investigate what the dietary guidelines are, whether they comply with them and what barriers prevent them from doing so. Students then set personal goals and attempt to change their behaviour.
Krachtvoer is an effective teaching programme and aligns with the Healthy School. Use the programme to start, intensify or broaden the Healthy School approach and obtain the nutrition theme certificate.
Schools are constantly developing, and the teaching programme develops along with them
Students, teachers, parents and school support staff have been closely involved in the further development of the teaching programme. Because every school situation is different, the focus was mainly on developing a teaching programme that offers sufficient flexibility and ease of use for everyone.
Krachtvoer gives users the opportunity to provide ongoing feedback and suggestions for improving its use within the teaching programme. Users can also sign up for the Krachtvoer panel and share their experiences whenever convenient. Read more about this here.
