Dutch children are becoming less and less physically active these days. Just over half of children get enough exercise. That is not very many. Besides the fact that sports are simply fun and enjoyable, they also offer a number of other benefits for children. If a child gets enough exercise, it has a positive effect on the development of motor skills, fitness levels and, of course, health.
With none other than Rico Verhoeven, Yara van Kerkhof, Celeste Plak, Roy Meyer, Jetze Plat and Laurine van Riessen, NOC*NSF gets students moving. In just ten minutes, they discover ten different sports. Because how much fun is it to exercise together with these elite athletes who have turned their hobby into their profession!
When do you take part in the 10@10 Challenge?
Wednesday 23 September is School Day during National Sports Week. It is most fun if you and your class take part in the 10@10 Challenge together on that day. Does that not fit into your schedule? Then feel free to plan it for another day!
Registration
Schools can register until 20 September. They will then receive a special gift on 20 September: the Activity Calendar. It was created by NOC*NSF in collaboration with GLOS Educatief. Starting on 21 September, your class can begin with fun daily activities that can be carried out in the classroom. These include weekly 10@10 Challenges, sports facts, physical activities, Olympic quiz questions and mindgym exercises.
