Do you care about the sustainable employability and vitality of students in secondary vocational education (mbo)? And are you looking for ways to incorporate this into your educational program? In the 2023–2024 academic year, Healthy School is offering opportunities to do so through the Fit, Safe and Healthy Working incentive scheme.

Sustainable employability

Sustainable employability is central to the workforce of the future. Secondary vocational education has an important role to play in this. It can optimally prepare students for the future labor market by making them aware of the importance of vital employership and their own sustainable employability. The ultimate goal is healthy and safe participation in the workforce throughout the lives of our future professionals.

What the incentive scheme offers

Healthy School offers an attractive package through the Fit, Safe and Healthy Working incentive scheme, enabling you to make a strong impact within your school or educational program. For example, you can purchase Healthy School activities and compensate the Healthy School coordinator for their working hours. You will also receive guidance and advice on Fit, Safe and Healthy Working from an occupational health and safety expert and a Healthy School adviser. Online information session

Anyone interested in the Fit, Safe and Healthy Working incentive scheme can attend an online information session on 8 December at 3:00 p.m. Registration is open until 5 December. If you register, you will receive a link to the session on 5 December; it will take place via Teams. Ten tips for the Golden Weeks in primary education

After every holiday, a group goes through certain phases in the process of group formation. The first weeks at the beginning of the school year are called the Golden Weeks. These weeks are particularly suitable for laying a foundation for good group formation and a pleasant atmosphere. Stichting School & Veiligheid offers ten tips.

Our Food Week

From 3 to 10 October 2026, it is Our Food Week. A great opportunity to focus with your class at primary school on where our food comes from, how it is made and why healthy and sustainable choices are important. Food education allows pupils not only to learn, but especially to experience. That is why various organisations are joining forces to support schools with inspiring activities, teaching materials and practical tools. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.

Would you like more water to be drunk in the new school year? Then put tap water in the spotlight with your class as a healthy and sustainable thirst quencher during National Tap Water Day on Wednesday 30 September. This way, your pupils will discover why tap water is healthy and how to turn it into a festive drink!
