How?
Mental health and sleep health are important themes, but many schools find it difficult to get started with them. Through the Charge Your Brainzzz project, we work together with schools from different regions in the Netherlands to devise and develop actions so that students feel better and sleep better. Teenagers and parents have identified various topics for this, such as:
- School policies regarding sending school notifications, timetable composition, & planning homework; Wednesday 20 April – 17:00–19:00, Nieuwe Universiteitsgebouw, De Boelelaan 1111, Amsterdam
- Parents & teenagers: what can I do as a parent?; Thursday 21 April – 18:00–20:00, TeamAlert office, Nijverheidsweg 25, Utrecht
- Performance pressure & stress; Tuesday 26 April – 16:15–18:15, TeamAlert office, Nijverheidsweg 25, Utrecht
Curious about what schools can do?
We organise ‘co-creation sessions’ in which students, parents, teachers and Healthy School advisers devise actions aimed at improving students’ mental health and sleep health. After such a session, the actions are developed further so that they can subsequently be used by the school.
Are you a student, a teacher at a secondary school, a parent of a teenager aged 12–15 or a Healthy School adviser? Would you like to know why students experience stress and sleep deprivation, and work together to consider what schools can do to improve students’ sleep and mental health? Then sign up and take part in one creative two-hour session with snacks & drinks, and receive a €25 gift voucher!
