During the session, participants shared their experiences and the obstacles they encounter, and discussed possible solutions with one another. Many different challenges and opportunities were addressed, ranging from the physical environment to policy-related challenges. How can you make creative use of the materials and resources available to you? How can you ensure that outdoor play becomes a standard part of the daily routine? How do you deal with resistance from colleagues or parents? How do you keep outdoor play enjoyable for children of different ages?
Outdoor Play at the BSO Toolbox
The online session showed that there is a need for knowledge, guidance and practical tips to stimulate outdoor play at the BSO even more. Staff from Kenniscentrum Sport & Bewegen will use these insights in developing a toolkit aimed at supporting BSO professionals in encouraging outdoor play.
