The Healthy Smikkelweken are intended for after-school care locations with an average of twenty or more children per day. Participating after-school care centres receive activities for four days. Each activity lasts 1 to 1.5 hours and approximately 12 children can take part. One package is suitable for approximately 50 children in total. An oven or cooking facilities are not necessary. A package contains four different vegetable activities. With these activities, children will cook, bake, taste and play with vegetables. In addition, the package contains a Cook and Play Book for home for all participating children. Everything complies with the guidelines of the Wheel of Five from the Netherlands Nutrition Centre.

This year, 62 after-school care locations and 5,200 children in Zeeland are taking part. The launch took place on Monday 24 July at bso Pien, run by Kinderopvang Walcheren in Koudekerke. This was done together with Dennis Willems, head chef of restaurant Morille in Koudekerke. Restaurant Morille received a Green Michelin Star in April 2023 for restaurants that primarily work locally and sustainably. Head chef Willems went wild foraging in nature together with the children from bso Pien, after which they played the Healthy Smikkelweken Sensory Game.
