What can you win?
The school that wins the Healthy School Inspiration Award can count on plenty of positive attention for the school and its Golden Tip. In addition, the school will win €1,000, which is intended to further embed the tip within the school. The schools that win second or third prize certainly will not go home empty-handed. They will win €500 and €250 respectively.
What are the benefits?
Last year there were 22 entries. The Inspiration Award went to Zone.college in Almelo with the Golden Tip: ‘A smoke-free generation is everyone’s responsibility!’. The second prize went to Blariacumcollege in Venlo with the Golden Tip: ‘Dynamic school playground’. The third prize went to Obs jongLeren in Drunen with the Golden Tip: ‘JongLeren in the garden, all year round’.
The victory brought Zone.college a great deal. Initiative-taker Dennis Timmer: “Thanks to the prize money, we were able to purchase materials bearing a smoke-free sign, such as paving stones, beach flags and posters. We are using another part of the prize money to provide training for staff. The Inspiration Award also generated many positive reactions and a news report in the Algemeen Dagblad. I recommend that every school take part!”

Submit your Golden Tip for a healthy lifestyle at school via the online entry form by 17 September. Healthy School will publish all Golden Tips on its website. From 17 September, everyone may vote for the best tip (of course, only one vote per email address). The submitters of the top three tips will send in a short video presentation before Healthy School Day on 31 October. On this day, the expert jury will announce the winner of the Healthy School Inspiration Award.
