The platform can be used both to create a new green schoolyard and to enhance an existing green schoolyard. This can be done in combination with a provincial subsidy, but also without one.
On average, creating a green schoolyard costs 50,000 euros. The province subsidises a maximum of 17,500 euros per schoolyard.
Raising money through the crowdfunding platform offers schools several advantages:
- - They do not have to pay money to fundraising platforms
- - They can reach donors more easily
- - They do not have to work with cash
- - All schools’ campaigns are listed together, making it easy for schools to find inspiration
By now, the first three schools have started a campaign through the platform. One of the three schools, Kardinaal Alfrinkschool in Wageningen, has already raised 1,160 euros thanks to 10 donations.
