Apply for the School Canteen Plaque

Schools can apply for the School Canteen Plaque in the Canteen Scan. Does the results page state that the canteen has reached the silver, gold or ideal level? Congratulations, that is certainly worth celebrating! The school will then see the button ‘Apply for School Canteen Plaque’ on the results page. Click it, and the Food Environment Advisor will process the application.

Reuse your previous scan from the Canteen Scan

Each year, schools can complete the Canteen Scan and earn a plaque. Take new photos of the food and drink options in the canteen and/or vending machines, and complete the Canteen Scan. Schools can use their previous Canteen Scan as a basis.

Update the nutrition policy

A new school year may call for a new or updated nutrition policy. Therefore, schedule a time as a school to discuss the policy. Evaluate how its implementation is progressing and adjust the policy where necessary.

Unique conference

On 20 March 2025, the Netherlands Nutrition Centre is organising a unique conference: Young People in the (Future) Food Environment. Especially for school principals, facility managers and Healthy School coordinators.
