The aim of the competition is to get a tasty, regional and healthy children’s menu on the menus of restaurants in Drenthe. And the result: a beautiful cookbook containing all the winning recipes.

What is the idea?

Come up with a fun, tasty and healthy dish. Pupils can invent it themselves or together with their parents, grandparents, brother or sister, classmates—you name it. The following rules apply to the recipe:

  • Use at least 100 grams of vegetables. Vegetables must be the centrepiece of your dish
  • Use no more than 10 ingredients
  • You may use regional products, but you don’t have to
  • The dish must be colourful, affordable and, above all, very tasty

Get started

Get out the pans, pots, chopping board and knives (be careful with your fingers) and get cooking! In the meantime, make a video (or have someone film you) showing how you are preparing the dish, and how tasty, fun and healthy your recipe is. Explain how you came up with the recipe and why your recipe is the best and should therefore win.

Submitting entries

Pupils can send the recipe together with the video to the contact person at their municipality until 8 March. They must also include the name of the school and the class they are in. Once the recipes have been received by the municipality, the expert jury will get to work. They will assess whether the recipe is tasty, fresh, healthy and affordable. The results will be announced for each municipality on 22 March.
