Each interim goal is linked to a theme, making it challenging to take part in The Daily Mile. With each Milestone, a school has a chance to win a cheque worth 2,500 euros from JOGG partner KOMPAN, as well as tailored advice on how to create more diversity in physical activity at school. You do not need to register; you only need to complete the challenges that week and submit the assignment or post your answer on The Daily Mile’s Facebook channel.
Two of the five milestones have now been completed:
- Milestone 1: The National Sports Week Milestone (23 to 27 September 2019)
- Milestone 2: The New Year Challenge (13 to 17 January 2020)

So there are still three to come:
- Milestone 3: Week for a Healthy Youth (16 to 20 March 2020).
- Milestone 4: Spring Challenge (11 to 15 May 2020)
- Milestone 5: Support the Olympic Games (15–19 June 2020)
