At VSO De Argo in Terneuzen, a great deal of attention is paid to self-care. For example, there are deodorant sprays in every classroom. “As a teenager, having a strong body odour is nothing to be ashamed of. But that is precisely why it is so important to address hygiene through the Healthy School theme.”

SBO De Kans in Amsterdam also makes optimal use of its playgrounds after school.

Even after school, the playground and other spaces at SBO De Kans in Amsterdam Nieuw-West are still put to good use: all kinds of extracurricular activities take place there. To organise these, the school works with, among others, the sports coordinator of the Municipality of Amsterdam.

At It Tredde Sté in Jirnsum, even the youngest pupils learn to stand up for themselves.

At primary school It Tredde Sté, pupils learn from a young age to stand up for their boundaries. They are also not surprised by homosexuality. “In this way, our pupils become true global citizens,” says principal Margreet van der Laan.
