Dynamic School Day Event Goes Nationwide

Following the successful first edition of the Amsterdam Dynamic School Day on 22 September 2023, the Beweegalliantie is now taking the event nationwide. On 20 September, the event for and by practitioners will take place at three locations: Amsterdam, Groningen and Maastricht.

The Aim of the Dynamic School Day Event

The aim of the Dynamic School Day Event is to learn from and with each other’s experiences and work together on a tailored Dynamic School Day. It is intended for class teachers, physical education teachers, support staff and members of the management of a primary school. A great programme will also be provided for school governors and policy officers.

Keynotes

The keynote speakers are: Steven Pont (Amsterdam), Wim van Gelder (Maastricht) and Mark Mieras (Groningen). The workshop rounds will be led, among others, by last year’s most sporting school, CBS Het Lichtpunt, this year’s winner, CBS de Waterhof, and the school that had a visit from the royal family during this year’s King’s Games, de Klippenholm, as well as colleagues from schools working towards a tailored Dynamic School Day.

Locations

The Amsterdam edition will take place at Burgemeester de Vlugtschool, Jan de Louterstraat 11, 1063 KX Amsterdam.
The Groningen edition will take place at kindcentrum Olingertil (O.B.S. Jan Ligthart and C.B.S. de Citer), Olingermeeden 2-8 in Appingedam.

Our Food Week

From 3 to 10 October 2026, it is Our Food Week. A great opportunity to focus with your class at primary school on where our food comes from, how it is made and why healthy and sustainable choices are important. Food education allows pupils not only to learn, but especially to experience. That is why various organisations are joining forces to support schools with inspiring activities, teaching materials and practical tools. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.

Then put tap water in the spotlight with your class as a healthy and sustainable thirst quencher during National Tap Water Day on Wednesday 30 September. This way, your pupils will discover why tap water is healthy and how to turn it into a festive drink!
