Tackling bullying together

How do the children in your class respond when someone is being bullied? The video and lessons address the different ways of responding to bullying: with your body, with your words or with your heart. Children discover which approach suits them.

The two lessons in the lesson plan – Everyone can help + How do you respond? – contain various activities that you can use with your class. You can combine them or use them separately. There is also an option described for discussing with the class what you, as a teacher, could actually do. In short: tackling bullying is something you do together!

Objectives of the video and lesson plan:

  • Students understand that there are different ways to respond to bullying and help the child being bullied.
  • Students consider which approach suits them.
  • Students practise different responses in different situations, for example through role-play or a comic strip.

The video and lesson plan were created as part of Anti-Bullying Week 2023, which takes place from 25 to 29 September 2023. The theme is 'Good to each other!' Together, you can create a pleasant and safe atmosphere in the classroom.
