Create a King's Match

On Friday, 17 April 2020, the eighth edition of the King's Games will take place. Would you, as a school, like help organising the King's Games 2020? Perhaps a sports club or sports provider near you can help.

The King's Match is a collaboration between a primary school and a sports club/sports provider to organise the sporting activities of the King's Games. The sports club/sports provider can do this by giving a clinic, making facilities available or providing volunteers.

What are the benefits?

Support with the active part of the King's Games.
An opportunity to introduce children to the sports club(s) in the area.
An easy way to build a lasting relationship with sports providers in the area.

How does it work?

Register here for the King's Games 2020.
Choose the option 'I want a clinic'.
Your personal page will then show an overview of the clubs in the area that would like to organise a sports activity during the King's Games.
You can now easily contact one or more of these sports clubs.

Our Food Week

From 3 to 10 October 2026, it is Our Food Week. A great opportunity to focus with your class at primary school on where our food comes from, how it is made and why healthy and sustainable choices are important. Food education allows pupils not only to learn, but especially to experience. That is why various organisations are joining forces to support schools with inspiring activities, teaching materials and practical tools. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.

Then put tap water in the spotlight with your class as a healthy and sustainable thirst quencher during National Tap Water Day on Wednesday 30 September. This way, your pupils will discover why tap water is healthy and how to turn it into a festive drink!
