The conference focuses on the approach to school attendance, from science to practice. Over the course of two days, we will explore together what works to reduce absenteeism and promote school attendance. Based on scientific research, you will gain insight into various aspects of school attendance, receive practical tools for further development, and learn from concrete examples from practice and personal experiences. There will also be plenty of opportunity to meet others.

Contribute

We need your contribution to make this conference a success. We welcome stimulating programme contributions that can give participants new insights, improve collaboration and inspire concrete action.

School attendance is a comprehensive concept. Many developments are related to school attendance. These include themes such as the preventive use of measures in schools, distance education, youth participation, equal opportunities, integrated and interprofessional cooperation, partnerships with parents, youth care at school and the role of the youth physician. When putting together the final programme, we will be guided by the link with school attendance and the desire to cover as many aspects of school attendance as possible.

Each programme session during the conference lasts 90 minutes. Depending on the format, we sometimes combine several contributors in one session. For more information, view the overview of formats from which you can choose. You can register a contribution via the contribution form until Friday 16 June.

General criteria for submitting a contribution are:

  • Explicitly link your contribution to the theme of school attendance.
  • Also dare to share your lessons learned and what did not work out entirely as planned.
  • Contributions with commercial objectives will not be accepted.
