The Netherlands Nutrition Centre would like to emphasise that it is proud of what schools are already doing. Thanks to the efforts of schools, healthy and sustainable choices are becoming increasingly normal for pupils. Schools make a difference every day – and the Netherlands Nutrition Centre and the pupils are very happy about that.

What is changing?

  • From the 2025–2026 school year, the Netherlands Nutrition Centre will no longer offer on-site school visits.
  • The Healthy School Canteen Scale and the Canteen Scan will disappear in their current form.

A new offering will take their place

  • A practical toolbox full of inspiration and materials.
  • Training and professional development for professionals in and around the school.
  • A Healthy School Canteen Scale 2.0.
  • A useful and easy-to-use checklist to replace the Canteen Scan.

Together, the Netherlands Nutrition Centre and schools will continue this movement. Schools at the helm, with the Netherlands Nutrition Centre alongside them providing the right support.
