The Netherlands is in lockdown and the schools are closed. Children are being taught at home, sitting at the kitchen table behind a screen. Indeed, sitting. It can be done differently. Especially at a time when paying attention to movement is more important than ever. That is exactly why Wieblie wants to inspire you in two workshops – on 27 January and 3 February – with active teaching methods that can get the children in your class moving, including during your online lesson! Because Movement Learning in your classroom is one thing; Movement Learning during your remote lesson is a different cookie.

What are we going to do?

During the workshops, you get to be a child in your own group for a while—how much fun is that! We will let you try out various active teaching methods. And because you can find everything afterwards in a special lesson section in Wieblie, accessible exclusively to workshop participants, you can really go all out!

Our Food Week

From 3 to 10 October 2026, it is Our Food Week. A great opportunity to focus with your class at primary school on where our food comes from, how it is made and why healthy and sustainable choices are important. Food education allows pupils not only to learn, but especially to experience. That is why various organisations are joining forces to support schools with inspiring activities, teaching materials and practical tools. Examples include the Mayors’ Breakfast, a free visit to a farm, or shopping vouchers for cooking in the classroom.

Then put tap water in the spotlight with your class as a healthy and sustainable thirst quencher during National Tap Water Day on Wednesday 30 September. This way, your pupils will discover why tap water is healthy and how to turn it into a festive drink!
