This is the second round of the Healthy Relationships & Sexuality Incentive Scheme. This scheme is aimed at encouraging and supporting schools that want to focus on healthy relationships and sexuality. Merel Hendriks: “We were able to approve all applications from schools and therefore did not have to disappoint anyone.” The scheme consists of a grant of up to €5,000 per school location. Schools use this amount to strengthen their work on the theme of Relationships and sexuality. The amount may be used for hours allocated to a Healthy School coordinator. It can also be used, for example, to purchase an activity or teaching package or to arrange guest lessons. Merel Hendriks: “Schools have until July 2021 to start working on the theme of Relationships and sexuality. In addition to the grant, every school that makes use of the incentive scheme receives advice and support from a Healthy School adviser from the GGD Municipal Health Service.”
